Nella puntata di oggi a “Kemet - L’antico Egitto in Podcast” parliamo di tatuaggi. Una pratica di gran moda nella nostra società, che in realtà affonda le sue radici in epoche ben più remote, e che trova riscontro anche nella società antico-egiziana!Nell’antico Egitto le prime evidenze di tatuaggio risalgono all’epoca Predinastica (ca. 4000-3100 a.C.) e si intensificano nel corso dei secoli successivi. In questa puntata offriamo una panoramica generale sul tatuaggio e sul modo in cui tale pratica venisse concepita nell’Egitto antico, dal periodo Predinastico fino all’epoca Greco-Romana (332 a.C. - 641 d.C.), evidenziando l’evoluzione dei segni, dei suoi significati e delle possibili tecniche utilizzate. Infine, un breve accenno alla marchiatura a fuoco permetterà di confrontare due diverse pratiche di modificazione corporea (reale o meramente simbolica?).
