Hey there! Welcome to your favorite local weather forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service. Let's dive into what Mother Nature has in store for us here in Wichita, Kansas.
Currently, we have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight. It's going to be mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping to around 73°F. The winds will be blowing from the south-southeast at around 8 miles per hour.
As we move into Saturday, there's just a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 pm. Expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 94°F. The winds will shift from south to east-northeast at about 7 miles per hour.
Saturday night, showers and thunderstorms are likely, especially after 1 am, and some storms might bring heavy rainfall. The low will be around 66°F with an east-northeast wind at 15 miles per hour.
On Sunday, there's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the morning. It'll be cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 78°F. Northeast winds will be blowing at 13 to 15 miles per hour.
And looking ahead, the early part of next week will bring a mix of sunshine and chances of showers and thunderstorms, so keep that umbrella handy!
