The idea of Listen, Connect, and Help is a powerful plan for making meaningful connections with people so that they can experience God's love through us.
Mr. Rogers was a man who really understood the power of Love, and he helped people experience the kind of Love that God has for each of us.
Christians have been confused over the years about evangelism, with popular sayings like "come out and be ye separate" and in turn thinking that we shouldn't associate with sinners. But Paul makes it clear in 1 Corinthians 5 that any separation we should do from people is NOT from everyday people in the world, (These are the very people we should RUN towards and love with everything we've got.) but rather we should separate ourselves from church-going people who claim to be Christians who are also intentionally immoral when they are confronted and do not begin to take on more of the Jesus kind of life.
Have you ever made this clear distinction and let it inform your approach to people who do not yet know Jesus?
