On episode 122 of Heavy Metal Philosophy we'll unpack the arguments made by Finn Mckenty about djent killing metal. Finn made a tweet claiming that djent killed metal and there aren't any larger than life rock stars anymore. He oddly held up Fred Durst as an example. He then went on to lament that bands are generic and don't want to offend anyone.

After a bit of controversy on twitter Finn Mckenty went on to make a YouTube video explaining his position in more nuanced detail. In this video he made some interesting points. Some of them are correct despite what metal twitter might say, and some I have some serious disagreements with. We'll cover it all on Heavy Metal Philosophy!
