7 steps you can use to create a healthier, more positive relationship to food:
1) See food as fuel & nourishment FIRST.
- everything you eat does something to your body
2) Respect your body and have wondrous awe for it!
3) Improve your mindset & mental health by eating better quality foods.
- eat more fruits & veggies!
4) Exercise to reset your nervous system.
5) Learn about your body & how it responds to foods.
- Use the MEDS acronym to assess your nutrition - how is your mood? energy? digestion? sleep and sex drive?
6) Eat with intent but not absolutes. Rigid, black & white thinking is not sustainable.
7) Audit your environment.
- are your friends and family supportive?
- is there unhealthy food in your cupboards?
- clear and clean out things that don't support you energetically
