show moreFor decades I was a Maximalist. The constant distraction of the next new thing buffered me from a career I didn t love, from a life I didn t love. It buffered me from a harbouring resentment that I deserve to buy whatever I want and however much I wanted. It buffered me from a deep rooted doubt as to whether or not I should quit the job I hate and stay home with the kids I love but it was quickly answered with Leah, "that is not even in the realm of possibility". I went through my days running, running my tennis shoes and my credit card. All this running to buffer this unsettled feeling that I should be doing something different in my life, something more. When I was to exhausted to run anymore the stillness whispered, "Leah if you want your life to change, you have to change. This change cured the buffering to feel better because I was better. This intentional living by my own creation not by compulsive consumerism.
Regardless of whether or not you identify as a minimalist or a Maximalist I believe there will be some ideas some concepts and some challenges in this episode that I hope inspire you to live lighter and make space in your home, heart and head for living your best life.
