Recession? Yes, no, maybe, just a little? This month we speak with Ruben Nizard, Economist for North America at Coface, and get his take on the economy, industries, and places to watch, in 2023.

Coface is a global company providing trade credit insurance and specialty services including access to experts, and offerings like Business Intelligence and Non-Cancellable policies. They also help companies stay informed on risk through the publication of regular economist reports, country risk assessments, and other tools.

Ruben Nizard is Coface Economist for North America, based in Toronto, Ontario (Canada) since January 2020. He is also Head of Political and Social Risk Analysis for the Economic Research Department. Ruben originally joined Coface and the Department in 2016, where he was responsible for Coface's Country Risk Analysis for Africa for three years, based in Bois-Colombe, France. Ruben holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as a Master's degree in Economics and Business from Sciences Po Paris. During his studies, he also studied business and economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA).
