Qualche giorno fa, mentre perdevo tempo sui social, stavo scrollando LinkedIn che è questa piattaforma di gente che cerca lavoro. No, veramente dovrebbe essere una piattaforma così per i professionisti, dove si presenta il lavoro fatto da professionisti, però alla fine è sempre piena di gente che si mette a disposizione perché vuole lavorare.
Allora mi trovavano la piattaforma, non necessariamente perché stessi cercando lavoro, ma perché curioso lavoro e anche perché ho degli amici e delle amiche in giro per il mondo che ho conosciuto nella piattaforma e con loro chiacchiero appunto su quella piattaforma che io confesso, uso più o meno come un normale social media, ci pubblico le mie cose, poi chi se le vuole leggere, se le legge, se le ascolta più che altro, oppure le ignora.
Ogni tanto però mi capita anche di ricevere dei suggerimenti da parte della piattaforma che, viste le mie caratteristiche professionali, mi suggerisce lavori, e io di solito ignoro perché non me ne frega niente di andare a fare la social media per qualcuno, è alla fine dei miei interessi, proprio, a preferenza vado a fare la cameriera da McDonald's. Però ogni tanto ci sono delle cose che attirano la mia attenzione, più che altro perché mi incuriosiscono.
Così qualche tempo fa ho visto un annuncio di una ditta italiana, o in Italia, che cercava qualcuno per fare un podcast. Non mi interessava presentare la mia candidatura, perché so cosa intendono questi qua quando dicono podcast, cioè non è il tipo di cosa che faccio io, però mi interessava vedere che ci fosse una ditta nel nord Italia che chiedeva la conoscenza perfetta dell'inglese e che aveva intenzione di mettere su, o di rafforzare la sua squadra di gente che faceva il podcast. E così incuriosita da questo, ho mandato un' email dicendo: hey, io faccio podcast. Non mi interessa il vostro lavoro, non mi sto presentando per il vostro lavoro, però mi piacerebbe sapere cosa fate, incontrarvi.
Vabbè, ho fatto anche un po' di ricerche, ho visto chi erano, in che settore lavoravano, eccetera, e mi hanno dato un appuntamento su Zoom. A few days ago, while wasting time on social, I was scrolling through LinkedIn which is this platform of people looking for jobs. No, really it's supposed to be a platform like that for professionals, where you present the work done by professionals, however, in the end it's always full of people who make themselves available because they want to work.

So some time ago I saw an ad by an Italian company, or a company based in Italy, looking for someone to do a podcast. I was not interested in submitting my application, because I know what these people here mean when they say podcast, I mean it's not the kind of thing I do, however, I was interested to see that there was a company in northern Italy that was asking for perfect English skills and that was planning to put up, or strengthen its team of people doing the podcast.
