On a recent hunt, I successfully took a whitetail doe with a very effective neck shot. I tend to do this about once a year. I also tend to kill multiple wild hogs each year with a shot to the head. Yet, head and neck shots are often viewed as taboo or unethical in the hunting community. Like many things, there are a lot of wrong ways to do it, and a few right ways to do it.
