This week, we're going back a bit in time to cover a historical true crime that still holds up. It takes a lot to be the worst example of a deplorable group of people, but that's exactly what Delphine LaLaurie managed to achieve. You see, she stood out as the worst slave owner in a society that saw the institution as norma. And when Delphine left a number of her slaves to die in a house fire in 1834, the people of New Orleans decided that was enough of the LaLaurie's. The family was run out of town, and had to live the rest of their lives in exile, but unfortunately, there is not a satisfying end to this one.
