Ca: El sol brillava alt al cel de Barcelona.
En: The sun shone high in the sky over Barcelona.

Ca: Era el dia perfecte per anar al mercat de segona mà al Parc de la Ciutadella.
En: It was the perfect day to go to the flea market at the Parc de la Ciutadella.

Ca: La Montse, el seu germà gran Enric, i la seva amiga de tota la vida, Júlia, caminaven entre les parades plenes de colors i olors d'estiu.
En: Montse, her older brother Enric, and her lifelong friend Júlia walked among the stalls filled with summer colors and scents.

Ca: "Vull trobar un regal especial per a tu, Júlia," va dir la Montse, mirant els objectes exposats.
En: "I want to find a special gift for you, Júlia," said Montse, looking at the displayed items.

Ca: La Júlia somreia, però havia estat silenciosa i preocupada tot el matí.
En: Júlia smiled, but she had been silent and worried all morning.

Ca: "No et preocupis", va dir l'Enric. "No cal que et compliquis tant."
En: "Don't worry," said Enric. "You don't have to complicate things so much."

Ca: Les parades eren plenes de gent que bussejaven entre les antiguitats, les joies fetes a mà i els tresors ocults.

Ca: L'Enric la seguia de prop, sempre vigilant.

Ca: "Montse, no et perdis de vista," va dir ell, preocupat.

Ca: Però la Montse no volia estar controlada.
