De: In einer kleinen Stadt lebten Anna und Thomas.
En: In a small town lived Anna and Thomas.

De: Sie waren beste Freunde.
En: They were best friends.

De: Aber ihre Freundin Sophia?
En: But their friend Sophia?

De: Sie lebte in einer großen Stadt namens Berlin.
En: She lived in a big city called Berlin.

De: Weihnachten kam bald, und Anna und Thomas machten Pläne.
En: Christmas was coming soon, and Anna and Thomas made plans.

De: Sie wollten Sophia in Berlin besuchen.
En: They wanted to visit Sophia in Berlin.

De: "Berlin ist groß, Thomas", sagt Anna, "Denkst du, wir finden Sophia in dieser großen Stadt?
En: "Berlin is big, Thomas," Anna said, "Do you think we will find Sophia in this big city?"

De: "Ja", stimmte Thomas zu, "Es ist anders als unsere Stadt, aber es ist schön.
En: "Yes," Thomas agreed, "It's different from our town, but it's beautiful."

De: "Sie hielten den Stadtplan fest in den Händen und suchten Sophias Adresse.
En: They held the map tightly in their hands and searched for Sophia's address.

De: Es war nicht einfach, aber sie gaben nicht auf.
En: It wasn't easy, but they didn't give up.

De: Sie fragten die Leute nach dem Weg, und die Leute waren sehr nett.
En: They asked people for directions, and the people were very kind.

De: Nach einer langen Suche fanden sie Sophias Haus zwischen all den großen Gebäuden.
En: After a long search, they found Sophia's house among all the tall buildings.

De: Sie sahen es auf den ersten Blick, da am Fenster ein großer Weihnachtsstern hing.
