Lee Whitaker is founder and lead pastor of Life in the River in Dundalk, Maryland, which opened November 2016.

Lee married MaryJane on October 16, 1993. MaryJane and Lee have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. MaryJane leads worship, plays keyboard, oversees outreach ministries, and is the church secretary.   

Lee previously served in Baltimore as an associate pastor, adult Sunday School teacher, Senior’s Ministry Bible teacher, Family Training Night coordinator, lead guitarist, and band leader with the Church of God for 10 years. MaryJane was worship director there for 5 years and played keyboard in the band before that.  

Prior to that Lee pastored for 3 years in the downtown Baltimore area with the United Pentecostal Church of Christ. MaryJane served there as keyboardist and taught a teen’s Sunday School class.

Lee has also evangelized, co-pastored, played guitar, preached and taught the Word for several years before this in various locations. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Teen Challenge of Baltimore.
