Kung Fu is a full contact combat sport. It’s amazing how Afghanistan has a martial arts icon that happens to look so much like Bruce Lee. His name is Abbas Alizada. It’s amazing how he can do martial arts a lot like Bruce Lee and look so much like him, and he’s not even from China. Abbas is a local celebrity; people call him Bruce Hazara - after the Hazara ethnic group he belongs to. Abbas ambition is to complete “Game of Death”, the movie Bruce Lee was in the middle of making when he died, picking up where his Kung-Fu idol left off.
Abbas got into Kung-Fu at age 14 years old. He is the youngest of 10 children. He trains at the Darul Aman Palace twice a week.

Abbas told his feelings about Afghanistan. He said: It’s not a good place. It’s not a good country. I always feel that I am dying in Afghanistan. It’s not a safe place. But I am not afraid of death.

Abbas also said: I want to be Abbas. Not Bruce Lee. No one can be like Bruce Lee. And no one can be like Abbas either.
