show moreAttorney General Loretta Lynch called a press conference Monday to confirm the Obama administration would continue to bully North Carolina over HB2, the bill that prohibits biological males from going into and using areas like bathrooms and locker rooms designated for women and girls.
Lynch boldly told gay activists that the administration is entirely behind them.
"We stand with you," Lynch said; "we will do everything we can to protect you."
Lynch and her staff then tried again to tie the Jim Crow laws to North Carolina's bathroom law, attempting to use the disproven link between the civil rights battle for blacks with gays.
North Carolina governor Pat McCrory noted that the Obama administration is avoiding Congress, and is openly distorting and ignoring laws to back up their bullying actions against the state.
