In this episode we continue studying the Book of Exodus. In this episode we note that while leading his flock to pasture, Moses saw a burning bush. The bush is on fire but the fire is not destroying the bush. It just burns and burns.

This may be the type of fire Jesus mentions in Mark chapter 9 verses 42 through 44 when He spoke about bodies in hell being burned by a fire that is never quenched. The fire is never quenched or extinguished because the bodies are not destroyed by the fire.

There is everlasting life and everlasting fire both proceed from the everlasting God, who is a consuming fire and this type of fire is often represented as God’s wrath. Pharoah is about to experience the wrath of God for abusing his children.

When Moses went closer to take a look at the bush, God called his name and there began the conversation and call for him to go to Egypt to deliver his people from Pharaoh.

God told him he had come down to deliver His people out of the hands of the Egyptians because the cry of the children of Israel had come unto him.

We note that another cry had gone up to God and required him to come down. It was the cry from the people in Sodom.

When he came down to respond to the cry in Sodom he sent angels to destroy the city after it had been confirmed that it was worthy of destruction.

Lot and his two daughters were saved, the angels led them out of Sodom and let them go on their way. They settled in the mountains and the two daughters slept with their father and had sons.

This time God would do something different with the millions of people leaving Egypt, he won’t use angels but a man named Moses.

Moses wouldn’t just lead them out of Egypt and let them go their way, he would remain with them and teach them the ways of God.

God warned Moses that the task wouldn't be easy but Pharaoh would eventually let the people go. And when he let's them go the people will leave Egypt with great spoils.

The women would be instructed to go to their neighbors and ask them for their gold jewelry and clothing.

This will take a great deal of courage and boldness because many of the Egyptians will be grieving the loss of a child, due to the last plague.

And during their time of grief, Israelite women will be standing at their door asking for their jewelry and clothing.

Somehow this doesn’t seem right but we must remember the Egyptians had gone door to door and took the Israelites precious jewels, their children.

They had taken their children and tossed them into the river They had spoiled them of what was precious to them now they will spoil them of what was precious to them, their gold, their silver, their rubies and other precious metals and stones.

Scripture says, every word of God is true and we are told that, "what a man sows, that he shall reap".

It's a law and will be fulfilled without bias or partiality, it's a word that has gone forth and will not return void.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
