In the episode we continue studying the book of Revelation. We discuss the 144,000 who stand on Mt. Sion with Christ. The text says these were not defiled by women, they were virgins. We note that this is figurative language. A woman is a symbol used for a nation because like women, a nation bears children and rears them, a nation like a mother has laws and rules to guide or govern behavior.

This group of 144,000 came out of Gentile nations, that served idols. They are called virgins because they did not pollute or defile themselves with the nations idols by committing fornication with them.

Fornication is often interchangeable with whoredom. It refers to being unfaithful to God, to be a harlot or prostitute by serving other gods and consorting with people who serve other gods as we in the following text:

Leviticus 20:5  Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

Leviticus 20:6  And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

Leviticus20:7  Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 20:8  And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

We also discuss the importance of not worshipping the beast and having the light of Christ dwelling within before one dies. Jesus is the light that a person must have before the soul leaves the body. Without him the soul will dwell in complete darkness, having not rest day nor night.

He is the light typified in the following text:

Exodus chapter 27 verse :20  And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.

Some think they will get into heaven without being connected to Christ. Yet, scripture says, There is none other name under heaven which men may be saved. (Acts 4:12)
