WEEK 9: DAY 1
BREATH OF LIFE

Genesis 2:7
The time came when the Lord God formed a man’s body from the dust of the ground and breathed into it the breath of life. And man became a living person.

In the beginning when God made man, He gave us His Spirit which made man a living person by His empowerment.

The breath of life signifies the Spirit of God.

Before the fall, when God instructed Adam and gave the consequences of disobedience, He mentioned that He will die if he errs. Genesis 2:16-17

After the fall, man was still in existence but he died because a man in sin (a sinner) is a dead man.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

So the true death is the death of the spirit. Every man after the fall except Jesus Christ came into the world dead until reborn. Romans 8:9

So what is this breathe of life?
Job 33:4
The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
The breathe of life is the Holy spirit.

So who is He?
1. He is the Spirit of God:
John 14:17
He is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive him, for it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him but you do, for he lives with you now and some day shall be (if He isn't already) in you.

2. He is our empowerment to live as God's.
Romans 8:26-27
And in the same way by our faith the Holy Spirit helps us with our daily problems and in our praying. For we don’t even know what we should pray for nor how to pray as we should, but the Holy Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words.
And the Father who knows all hearts knows, of course, what the Spirit is saying as he pleads for us in harmony with God’s own will.

3. He is our link to be in sync with God.
John 16:13
When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, he shall guide you into all truth, for he will not be presenting his own ideas, but will be passing on to you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

4. He is the life that splurges us into the full life:
2 Timothy 3:14
But don't let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother's milk! There's nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped for the tasks God has for us.

5. He is the key to opening the mysteries of the kingdom:
2 Timothy 3:16
The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in the world; it straightens us out helping us choose and do what is right.

6. He is our source of wisdom:
Exodus 31:1,3
The Lord also said to Moses, “See, I have appointed Bezalel (son of Uri, and grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah),
and have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and skill in constructing the Tabernacle and everything it contains.

To this note, I seek for those that need this breathe of life (so they can truly live) to say this after me:

"Lord Jesus, I accept Your gift of love. I receive your breath into me making me a new creature, alive and full of life. Thank you Lord for such Glory. Christ in me, the Hope of Glory.
In Jesus name, amen"
