This week we have one of the biggest boxing cards competing against what's being called a "once in a lifetime" UFC event at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The competing cards have made it difficult to sell tickets to the unique UFC event and also brought astronomical early prices down to earth. Dana White is also promising $25,000 to any fan who can identify all the "easter eggs" featured throughout the "movies" that will be played for the crowd around the fights. UFC 306 is headlined by Sean O'Malley vs. Merab Dvalishvili with a co-feature of Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso in their third title fight. The event also highlights multiple fighters fo Mexican heritage to celebrate Mexican Independence Day weekend in Las Vegas. Additionally, UFC 306 is sponsored by Riyadh Season, which is backed by Turki Al-Sheikh. Sheikh is becoming a very influential figure in combat sports who is trying to unite all boxing promotions and now is branching into sponsoring a UFC event that's balooned in costs over the months leading up to the one-time event. All this competes with a blockbuster card featuring one of Boxing's pound for pound best: Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Alvarez squares off against undefeated rising star Edgar Berlanga in the same neighborhood as the Sphere in Vegas Saturday night. Other stars on the Alvarez/Berlanga card include: Erislandy Lara vs. Danny Garcia, and Caleb Plant and Stephen Fulton taking on lesser known opponents.
