Episode 20 Carolyn Cox Rose
In 1978, Carolyn Cox Rose was a successful real estate agent in the Pensacola, Florida area. She left the realty office early one morning to meet a client at an empty house she was selling. Her raped and murdered body was found there later that day. Police learned that a man had phoned repeatedly, possibly luring Carolyn to her fate. But police failed to track down the mysterious client, and Carolyn’s case went unsolved until, decades later, Escambia county authorities employed forensic genealogy in the case. The analysis led to a North Carolina man with a significant criminal past – and possibly, another victim.
