we’re speaking with Minnesota trial lawyer Mike Bryant, and a major focus of the episode involved sexual abuse cases involving the Catholic Church in which he’s been involved as an attorney.

One of Mark’s novels, Betrayal of Faith, deals with this subject and during our interview Mike Bryant compares the plot in that book to real life cases in which he’s represented clients against the church.

Bryant reveals the extent to which the Catholic Church is going to minimize the scandal involving its clergy and sex abuse, how it moves priests from parish to parish to protect them, and its use of bankruptcy to avoid or minimize payments to victims.

Most of the questioning is by Bello, who, as an attorney, has represented similar clients and as an author has written extensively about this tragic topic.
