A Supreme Court Justice challenged graduates of the Michigan-based Hillsdale College to be true to themselves and to be good citizens.
Known as the “citadel of American conservatism,” Associate Justice Thomas told 353 graduates of Hillsdale College to stand firm on their principles.
He also made a connection between liberty and personal responsibility.
Thomas was awarded an honorary doctorate degree during the ceremony.
