Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has officially disclosed a series of trips funded by GOP donor Harlan Crow in his 2022 financial filings. These disclosures reveal that Crow paid for Thomas's transportation, meals, and lodging during four trips last year. Thomas noted that some of these trips, particularly those involving private jet travel, were undertaken due to security concerns following the leak of the Dobbs opinion, which overturned Roe v. Wade​​.

The disclosures include travel to Dallas, Texas, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Crow’s private estate in Keese Mill, New York. This filing comes amid heightened scrutiny and criticism over Thomas's relationship with Crow, highlighted by a ProPublica investigation that reported Thomas had been the beneficiary of numerous luxury trips funded by Crow over the past two decades​.

Thomas's financial report also amended previous filings to include omitted information about a 2014 real estate transaction with Crow, in which Crow purchased properties owned by Thomas and his family in Savannah, Georgia. This sale included the house where Thomas's mother currently resides​.

In response to the revelations, Thomas's attorney stated that there were no intentional ethical breaches, asserting that any prior omissions were inadvertent​.
