show moreI experienced something different last evening. I was invited to share my experiences as a podcaster on an episode designed to help strengthen the walls and performances of what podcasting truly is and should evolve into. Never once did I feel like a guest. It was if I had always been part of their circle. Which is something we can all learn from. When engaging in conversations with others ease up on interviewing them for answers. We’ve already got enough on our plates. It feels like a never ending Thanksgiving. All of this food and no place to put it. Learning how to clear the heart during the waking hours is a huge task for many. Rather than facing the sleepiness and or weakness we try to drown it out with coffee or power drinks. The daily discipline for me is to remain focused on life’s everyday highway. But during these moments of out of control news headlines and a pandemic, the awareness level is over saturated with unbelievable amounts of outside sources that can easily turn into negative energy. Creating daily intentions is a brilliant tool. While walking through the forest with Jazzie each morning at 4:30 I’m in that moment of saying, “My intentions today is ______.” Another self motivator is to remove everything connected to having to do something. I have to work. I have to pay the bills. No! The only thing we have to do is live another day with this pandemic. You should be asking yourself, “What do I need to do?” If you use prayer to help ease the anxiety you don’t need to write a book. Just show up. Be present. Available. Life isn’t supposed to feel like a checkmate in chess. The game isn’t over. What do you need to do to bring forward success? Your heart has been prepared. Nobody enjoys changing the oil in their car and putting fuel in it can be a pain in the day. Clearing the heart during the waking hours is a discipline but it can also but something you find joy in. To explore where you presently stand in this mess of events. To locate the needed space to calmly say, “Not today. These 15 or so minutes are mine and I think I’ll slowly eat my toast and sip not gulp my coffee.” What do I need to do? Suddenly you’re no longer a prisoner. You don’t have do anything in life but breathe.
