Día 21: ¡Probarlo! 40 Días de la Palabra.

Hoy vamos a estudiar un pasaje bíblico que comienza con el momento triste y confuso de la muerte de Jesús pero termina con un final glorioso cuando Jesús resucita y le da palabras de aliento a sus discípulos y también les da la orden para que cumplan la misión por el cual fueron llamados.

Marcos 16:1-20 NVI:
La resurrección.
Cuando pasó el sábado, María Magdalena, María la madre de Jacobo, y Salomé compraron especias aromáticas para ir a ungir el cuerpo de Jesús. Muy de mañana el primer día de la semana, apenas salido el sol, se dirigieron al sepulcro. Iban diciéndose unas a otras: «¿Quién nos quitará la piedra de la entrada del sepulcro?» Pues la piedra era muy grande.
Pero, al fijarse bien, se dieron cuenta de que estaba corrida. Al entrar en el sepulcro vieron a un joven vestido con un manto blanco, sentado a la derecha, y se asustaron.
—No se asusten —les dijo—. Ustedes buscan a Jesús el nazareno, el que fue crucificado. ¡Ha resucitado! No está aquí. Miren el lugar donde lo pusieron. Pero vayan a decirles a los discípulos y a Pedro: “Él va delante de ustedes a Galilea. Allí lo verán, tal como les dijo”.
Temblorosas y desconcertadas, las mujeres salieron huyendo del sepulcro. No dijeron nada a nadie, porque tenían miedo.

Apariciones y ascensión de Jesús.
Cuando Jesús resucitó en la madrugada del primer día de la semana, se apareció primero a María Magdalena, de la que había expulsado siete demonios. Ella fue y avisó a los que habían estado con él, que estaban lamentándose y llorando. Pero ellos, al oír que Jesús estaba vivo y que ella lo había visto, no lo creyeron.
Después se apareció Jesús en otra forma a dos de ellos que iban de camino al campo. Estos volvieron y avisaron a los demás, pero no les creyeron a ellos tampoco.
Por último se apareció Jesús a los once mientras comían; los reprendió por su falta de fe y por su obstinación en no creerles a los que lo habían visto resucitado.
Les dijo: «Vayan por todo el mundo y anuncien las buenas nuevas a toda criatura. El que crea y sea bautizado será salvo, pero el que no crea será condenado. Estas señales acompañarán a los que crean: en mi nombre expulsarán demonios; hablarán en nuevas lenguas; tomarán en sus manos serpientes; y, cuando beban algo venenoso, no les hará daño alguno; pondrán las manos sobre los enfermos, y estos recobrarán la salud».
Después de hablar con ellos, el Señor Jesús fue llevado al cielo y se sentó a la derecha de Dios. Los discípulos salieron y predicaron por todas partes, y el Señor los ayudaba en la obra y confirmaba su palabra con las señales que la acompañaban.

Day 21: Probe it! 40 Days of the Word.

Today we are going to study a biblical passage that begins with the sad and confusing moment of Jesus' death but ends with a glorious ending when Jesus resurrects and gives words of encouragement to His disciples and also gives them the order to fulfill the mission for which they were called.

Mark 16:1-20 NIV:
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’ ” Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid. [The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9–20.] When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping. When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it. Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country. These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either. Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
