December 20: The guide of life.

Psalms 119:1-16:
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; they walk in His ways. You have commanded us to keep Your precepts diligently. Oh, that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed, when I look into all Your commandments. I will praise You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous judgments. I will keep Your statutes; oh, do not forsake me utterly!
How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have declared
all the judgments of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.


Yesterday we studied the shortest chapter of the Bible and today we are going to study the longest chapter.
I hope that today you can take a longer time than usual to study this chapter. This chapter is not difficult to understand because its theme is only one, and it is about the greatness of the Word of God.
We could spend several days and weeks scrutinizing each of these beautiful verses and drawing lessons from there, but I want to pick one of the first verses of this chapter that we just read.
We find one of the most powerful verses for the young people who begin to walk in the ways of God and want to live a successful spiritual life, they must follow this simple but very effective advice: “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.”
All the young people in the world have experiences in life, some very beautiful and others ugly and bad. It is inevitable that the heart or mind will be tainted by harmful comments or actions.
The young people struggle hard to maintain their purity, their integrity, and the temptations are many. The young people struggle because they are just building their character. Also, bad friendships and curiosity about the desires of the world are very strong.
If you are a young person or have young people in your home, teach them that the best purifier of the mind and heart is the Word of God, which will also teach them the right path to follow.
Whenever you have an internal conflict, an emotional struggle or a clash of thoughts, the Word of God will clarify your thoughts and your emotions, it will guide you, it will fill you with wisdom and it will affirm your convictions based on the Word of God. It is the best tool to be able to overcome temptations or to get up after a fall. The Word of God is the best counselor and comforter.

Later you will find a verse that says: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Let the Lord illuminate your steps and guide your life.

diciembre 20: la guía de la vida.

salmos 119:1‭-‬16 rva2015:
bienaventurados los íntegros de camino, los que andan según la ley del señor. bienaventurados los que guardan sus testimonios y con todo el corazón le buscan. pues no hacen iniquidad los que andan en sus caminos. tú mandaste que tus ordenanzas fuesen muy guardadas. ¡ojalá fuesen estables mis caminos para guardar tus leyes! entonces yo no sería avergonzado al observar todos tus mandamientos. te alabaré con rectitud de corazón cuando aprenda tus justos juicios. tus leyes guardaré; no me abandones por completo. ¿con qué limpiará el joven su camino? con guardar tu palabra con todo mi corazón te he buscado; no dejes que me desvíe de tus mandamientos. en mi corazón he guardado tus dichos para no pecar contra ti. ¡bendito seas tú, oh señor! enséñame tus leyes. con mis labios he contado todos los juicios de tu boca. me he gozado en el camino de tus testimonios más que sobre toda riqueza. en tus ordenanzas meditaré; consideraré tus caminos. me deleitaré en tus estatutos; no me olvidaré de tus palabras.


ayer aprendimos el capítulo más corto de la biblia y hoy vamos a estudiar el capítulo más largo.
espero que el día de hoy puedas sacar un tiempo más largo del usual para estudiar este capítulo. este capítulo no es difícil entenderlo porque su tema es uno solo, y es acerca de la grandeza de la palabra de dios.
podríamos sacar varios días y semanas escudriñando cada uno de estos versos tan bonitos y sacar lecciones de allí, pero quiero escoger uno de los primeros versículos de este capítulo que acabamos de leer.
encontramos uno de los versos más poderosos para el joven que comienza a caminar en los caminos de dios y quiere vivir una vida espiritual exitosa, debe seguir este consejo simple pero muy efectivo: “¿con qué limpiará el joven su camino? con guardar su palabra.”
todos los jóvenes del mundo tienen experiencias en la vida, unas muy bonitas y otras feas y malas. es inevitable que el corazón o la mente sean manchadas por comentarios o acciones dañinas.
el joven lucha mucho por mantener su pureza, su integridad, y las tentaciones son muchas. el joven lucha porque apenas está formando su carácter. además, las malas amistades y la curiosidad por los deseos del mundo son muy fuertes.
si tú eres un joven o tienes jóvenes en tu hogar, enséñales que el mejor purificador de la mente y el corazón es la palabra de dios, que también les enseñará el camino correcto que debe seguir.
siempre que tengas un conflicto interno, una lucha emocional o un choque de pensamientos, la palabra de dios va a aclarar tus pensamientos y tus emociones, te va a guiar, te llenará de sabiduría y va a afirmar tus convicciones basadas en la palabra de dios. es la mejor herramienta para poder vencer las tentaciones o levantarse después de una caída. la palabra de dios es el mejor consejero y consolador.

más adelante encontrarás un verso que dice: “lámpara es a mis pies tu palabra y lumbrera a mi camino”. permite que el señor alumbre tus pasos y guíe tu vida.

¿lees y estudias la palabra de dios a diario?
¿tienes algunos versos que te ayuden a superar las pruebas?
