Discussion between the Jean Monnet Chair prof. Ramūnas Vilpišauskas, Director for Internal Market of BusinessEurope Martynas Barysas and students of the IIRPS VU was focused on the lobbying practices in the EU. The discussion addressed how interest groups are involved in the EU political process, what lobbying strategies interest groups use to lobby the EU institutions, and at which decision-making stages interest groups seek to exert influence on the EU. Moreover, the discussion payed attention to the role of interest groups in the current state of the EU single market and in the context of the EU relations with the US and China.

This discussion is part of the project "Teaching, researching and debating contemporary European issues" (TRENDS), co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

Jean Monnet Chair prof. Ramūno Vilpišausko ir Europos verslo konfederacijos „BusinessEurope“ vidaus rinkos departamento direktoriaus Martyno Baryso diskusija su Tarptautinių santykių ir politikos mokslų instituto (VU TSPMI) studentais/-ėmis apie lobizmą ir jo praktikas ES. Diskusijoje aptarta, kaip interesų grupės dalyvauja ES politiniame procese, kokias lobizmo strategijas interesų grupės naudoja santykyje su ES institucijomis ir kokiais sprendimų priėmimo etapais interesų grupės siekia daryti įtaką ES. Be to, diskusijoje atkreiptas dėmesys ir į interesų grupių vaidmenį dabartinei ES bendrosios rinkos būklei ir ES santykiams su JAV bei Kinija.

Diskusija yra projekto “Teaching, researching and debating contemporary European issues” (TRENDS) dalis, projektą (bendrai) finansavo Europos Sąjungos programa „Erasmus+.
