By 2030, depression will be the biggest mental health issue on the planet and currently is costing us billions of dollars a year. In this episode we look at emotional health in families and why families are our greatest asset in early prevention of mental health. Our guest, Garry Thomson, CEO of Uplifting Australia, is passionate about supporting families to raise, kind, emotional healthy and successful human being. Discussing the ‘four components’ to emotional wellbeing in families, Garry tells us the reasons why this skill set in a child is as important as teaching them to read and write. He talks from the heart of his own experiences in being parented, becoming a father, and being a man and discussing the invaluable work being done by Uplifting Australia.
