Well, situations are different. And comparing it to a photo with an ex seems inappropriate to me. Sometimes the first tattoos are done by not the most experienced tattoo artists, and they are pretty low quality. Sometimes tastes change with age, and the old tattoo doesn't respond the way it used to.

Why get a tattoo and then have it removed? To me, it's like posting a photo on Instagram with your partner and then trying to remove all traces of the person in your life after you break up.
