Oannes is a fascinating figure from Mesopotamian mythology. He is often described as an amphibious being, with the head and torso of a human and the tail of a fish.  



According to ancient texts, Oannes emerged from the Persian Gulf and taught humanity the arts, sciences, and laws of civilization.
He is considered a benevolent figure who brought knowledge and culture to the people of Mesopotamia.
