Episode 12 of “These Are Your Neighbors” features Michelle Erickson. Michelle was invited to be a guest on the program because of her work helping survivors of domestic assault, human trafficking, dating violence and stalking. Michele is the Executive Director of the Abused Adult Resource Center. The goal of the Abused Adult Resource Center is to help its clients find hope through a life free from abuse. They also work with communities to create an awareness and sensitivity to domestic violence and sexual assault issues by establishing programs that aim to break the cycle of abuse.

Michelle Erickson is the Executive Director of the Abused Adult Resource Center. The Abused Adult Resource Center provides services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking,dating violence, and stalking. Michelle started her career at the Abused Adult Resource Center as the Transitional Housing Coordinator and then moved into a leadership position supervising the shelters and housing programs and then was hired as Executive Director in April 2019. Michelle developed a passion for helping eliminate homelessness and feels strongly that everyone deserves a safe place to live. Michelle has also been involved with the Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless People and serves on the board of CAWS (Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault State Coalition). Michelle has a son and daughter in law that live in Bismarck and is the proud Nana of 3 sweet grandkids. She enjoys kayaking, camping, reading and floating on the lake. Her “therapy” is cooking for herself and others, watching true crime documentaries and hanging out with friends and family.
