Why did Abraham require of his servant to place his hand under Abraham’s thigh to make a solemn oath? Abraham and Isaac were living in Canaan. Why didn’t Abraham want Isaac to marry a Canaanite wife? Is there any significance between Abraham’s wife Sarah being barren and later conceiving and Isaac’s wife Rebekah being barren and later conceiving? Jacob and Esau were the first set of twins mentioned in the Bible. Would one of Rebekah’s sons become the child of the promise and the other child become evil like Cain, Nimrod and Ishmael? What is the biblical importance of being the first born and birthrights? Why did God say Jacob I have loved and Esau I have despised? I’m glad you asked?
