Fisher opens the show with David Allen Lambert, Chief Genealogist of NEHGS and American Ancestors. Fisher talks about how liquor consumption increased during and after the Revolution to absurd amounts in the 1830s. Exactly how much per person? Fisher will tell you. Sarah explains how many ways your ancestor can qualify for "patriot" status, aside from carrying a rifle.
