01' 15" - No Need For Speed - Ken Wilson
How fast is too fast? Especially when towing a caravan. And what speed can we do towing a van over a specific weight when the signs say '110Kmh' allowed?
Ken Wilson - founder of the national Truck Friendly Program has some great answers no matter which state you live in.
10'54" - Dealing With The Loss Of A Pet - Karen Jacques
Without a doubt – the very worst part about having a pet – is having to say goodbye. Sometimes they’ll simply pass in their sleep but sometimes we can provide a final gift of asking our vet to put euthanase them to put them out of their pain.
It’s a tough call for all of us pet owners for sure – and one we’ve personally experienced 4 times – so far. We’ve currently got a very old dog and I’m starting to dread her inevitable passing.
And while all of this is extremely normal – most people don’t realise they can get help from a grief counsellor with extra training in helping pet parents deal with the loss of a ‘fur-child’. Like Karen Jacques from Paw4Reflection
19'17" - Preparing For Winter - Caitlyn Henderson
With winter not far away – we’re noticing many more people are worried about how they’ll cope when they’re stuck at home with a fridge full of food and Uber deliveries only a phone call away.
Kaye managed to momentarily put Caitlyn our resident APD… that’s short for Accredited Practising Dietition, Caitlyn Henderson from Healthy Lifestyles Australia in Toowomba Qld - on the spot recently with this question….
32'22" - About The Minjil Dance Group - Carl Fourmile
Before all this ‘COVID’ stuff, we spent some time in Cairns FNQ. A fascinating place with an equally fascinating history and lots of fabulous walks and cycle-ways.
One day while BP was riding his bike down by a local stream, he spotted a group of indigenous musos with didgeridoos & clapsticks who were practising by the river. Long story short, the group invited us to check out how they educate tourists about our indigenous history, culture and connection with the land.
Brian asked Carl Fourmile, the creator of the Minjil Dance Group to describe their passion for education.
