Dear Mums,
I write you this day, because of your many hands. Your caps are so much that you think you must be perfect in all.
How have the days been treating you?
Have you lost your voice shouting?
Or for sake of headache, kept mute?
Oh, am not here to remind you of what you call failures. I am here to tell you something else. It is normal once in awhile to sleep off with the baby on your breast. It is okay, to sleep and forgot about lunch and laundry needs.
You are not called to be a perfect mum just like you are not called to be a lazy or nonchalant mum. You are called to be just mum, a woman whose strength comes from God.
And if you are she, then you known you must listen to him, get your insights from him and obey him.
There are times he wants you to sit and develope yourself like Mary in the midst of Martha hormones.
Close your eyes to chores, family pressure, hospitality pressure, societal pressures, career pressure, religion pressures and find a daily "ME" time!
ME TIME is your daily set time to do what you want to do SOLELY for yourself not for others.
Flip that tele and watch your favourite programme, read your book, sleep, dance, gist, sing, pray, eat your favourite snack or shout off the stress!!!!
Finding 30minutes of "me" time is not selfishness. It keeps you from depression and help your mental health.
Remember, to ask your creator for insights to make YOUR life more colourful and fruitful for the godly seeds you are raising.
