On a warm June evening, after a nice day outside with her family, 4 year old Jessica Gutierrez got her nails painted by her mom and eventually snuggled up in bed with her sister around 11:30 pm. Sometime between her going to bed and 9am the next morning, an intruder broke into their home and stole Jesse out of her bed while she was asleep.
That would be the last time her family would ever see her again. Investigators find one single fingerprint but no immediate match.
Corruption between law enforcement and the solicitor's office causes tensions to run high for Jesse's mom Debra, and 26 years after her daughter's abduction she releases a phone call between herself and the Sheriff at the time to help explain why she was so unsatisfied with the investigation.
