On March 11, 2021, 24 yr old Cassie Renee Sheetz goes missing after getting separated from her friends that she was hiking with that day. While the search for Cassie was happening, another search was taking place in another part of the country; Cassie’s case was happening at the same time as the gabby petito case, and it would go un noticed to most people in the country as it wouldn’t gain national attention like the Gabby Petito case had.

Cassie went missing when she went hiking at the MONONGHALEA NATIONAL FOREST: SENECA CREEK AREA at a place called Spruce Knob.. THE NATIONAL FOREST IS 919,O00 ACRES. When Cassie went missing, There were a lot of unknowns and a lot of questions not answered when the friends came out of the forest and Cassie didn’t. It would be about 10 months before any possible signs of Cassie would be found.
