In this episode we present a roundtable discussion called Rebuilding the Student Movement from Social Justice Week 2022. It features alumni who were student union executives and activists, who organised and fought for meaningful changes at TMU.

From getting the university to change its name to securing free food programs, student activism has been vital to shaping the campus. This panel emphasizes the importance of collective action taken by students to shape the university’s curriculum, values, actions and distribution of resources in a way that aligns with their interests. Participants discuss examples of past successful student-led initiatives, and encourage current students to define and take action on their own demands.
