show moreIt is the first show of March and the Honchos are your sports Ides of March. The show opened with a recap of the legend of Gerard Finneran and the most expensive corn flakes of all time.
The Honchos got serious with a discussion of sensitivity in college sports involving the University of Texas fight song and the comments made by Creighton coach Greg McDermott.
The hockey news centered around changes to the Montreal Canadians staff and Sidney Crosby sidelined by Covid. On the hardwoods the Honchos talked about James Harden for MVP and how bad things are for the Houston Rockets. In the baseball segment they went around the horn with a tribute to former O's manager Joe Altobelli, Ian Desmond opting out, and some more Mickey Callaway nonsense.
The NFL recap focused on the Washington Football Team cheerleaders, JJ Watt to Arizona, the passing of Irv Cross, and a ride on the QB carousel. Who stays? Who goes?
The show wrapped as it always does with the Dope of the Week. This week's winner? Steve DiMeglio of the USA Today.
