During the hectic evacuation of Americans and allies from Afghanistan US troops were called on to secure the Kabul airport. During this evacuation process a bomb was detonated and killed 13 servicemen and women. However they were not the only ones from the US military to die. Former US special forces were also operating in the area helping to rescue those that they could. Why do we do this a service members and their families?
