In this episode Jenn and Robyn talk with Justin Perkins, owner of Mystery Room Mastering out of Milwaukee Wisconsin to discuss his white paper, a manifesto of sorts, on navigating the vinyl manufacturing process. In the last 20+ years he’s mastered over a thousand albums that have been released on vinyl, including the recent 25th anniversary edition of En Vogue’s ‘Funky Divas’ and The Replacements, ‘Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash’. Each vinyl project can be a learning experience to some degree; and we’ve all been there command + c’ing and command + v’ing on that one good email response you sent, over and over. Justin’s white paper on vinyl recommendations covers all those emails we send day in and day out, and together we discuss.
