It is such an honor and privilege to welcome one of my all-time favorite Survivor winners, Ethan Zohn, to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.
Ethan Zohn became a household name when he appeared on the third season of the long-running CBS Reality TV series: Survivor. Ethan outwitted, outlasted, and outplayed some of the show’s top players to become the Survivor: Africa winner. However, he ran into bad luck when he returned to 2004’s Survivor: All-Stars.
Since his time on the show, Ethan blossomed as a social entrepreneur. In 2002, he co-founded Grassroots Soccer, where his team combined soccer with teaching their athletes self-reliance and critical life skills such as HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. Since its inception, Grassroots Soccer has spread to 50 countries in Africa and worldwide.
He has also raised his voice in supporting the Jewish community. Ethan Zohn has partnered with various organizations, including BBYO, the Jewish National Fund, and Maccabi USA. Ethan bravely documented his cancer battle with People Magazine and has been cancer-free since 2012. He has championed investments for new medical research and technology. He served as an advisor for both the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Memorial Sloan Kettering. Ethan Zohn also teamed up with the creators of Survivor to launch Survivor Stand Up to Cancer.
In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Ethan Zohn talked about his return to Survivor: Winners at War and revealed why it was his last time playing the iconic game. He also spoke about his successful social media campaigns regarding Old School Survivor and his hilarious Postcards from the Edge.
