show moreAs the holiday season approaches, Art sheds light on the generosity of motorcycle clubs and businesses conducting Toy Runs for children. He provides insights into Los Vatos and their efforts in organizing a Toy Run and how what they do is a little different.
The conversation takes a turn as Art expresses his astonishment at the Tucson Elections' outcome, where less than 35% of eligible voters participated. Despite ongoing issues such as crime and road conditions in the city, the anticipated vote for change did not materialize.
Art recounts a couple of Border Tours he recently did. The first with Kyle Reyes, owner of Law Enforcement Today, and a couple of days later with Ben Bergquam, the Director of Front Line America. On the trip with Ben, He describes driving through an open area, catching the scent of burnt mesquite, and stumbling upon Border Patrol agents handling a large group of approximately 1000 individuals crossing. This was the following day after 2000 had already requested Asylum. Art shares agents' disillusionment with the lack of border control by the administration, revealing that some are contemplating leaving the agency after two decades of service. The discussion extends to career progression within the agency, exploring both the benefits and challenges that come with it.
