Persistent physical violence and disturbing imagery of dad dragging his pummelled mother across the floor sadly leave him mentally scarred and emotionally affected. The intense fear and feeling of helplessness make it incredibly difficult for him to comprehend how he was unable to assist his mother.
Brought up not to talk about issues in the home prevents him from verbalising his pain and leading to bottling up his fears and anxieties for many years.
Buckling down at school and embracing his love for learning really supports him to stay sane.
