The government as is the vice of democracy have their vested interest at heart and have to appeal to the electorate. There is a reason the term political correctness has been coined. The basic psychological mistake is that the adhering to political correctness can be quite aggressive and those who are persecuted by it are simply pushed to become more extreme and therefore sue more disharmony not less. The irony is that it is not the people who have power for they act at random the need to be led. The government must lead or else the risk is someone more charismatic and unelected may rise and lead those who are pushed to the extreme and suck in everyone else. Perhaps that could be one definition of a revolution but these are never smooth and painless. Better the government lead properly instead of squabbling amongst themselves for power.
