The theory that humanity was visited by extraterrestrial entities in our ancient past is one that has been gaining momentum in recent years. Over the past decade the ancient alien hypothesis has been embraced by television networks and popular culture alike. This newfound popularity has piqued the interest of an entire generation of truth seekers. But we should remember that there's another narrative, often overlooked, that tells of non-human entities who visited earth in the distant past. It's a narrative that's no less mysterious or supernatural, and one that may be critical for properly understanding the corruption of the modern world.

Many of our earliest known civilizations wrote about these beings. The Akkadians called them "Apkallu", The Sumerians referred to them as "Abgal", to the Babylonians they were "Annunaki", and to the Hebrews they were known as "The Watchers" and "The Sons of God." But who were these ancient visitors and why are they so important?

To answer those questions and more, I'm joined by the frequently referenced author and scholar, Dr. Michael S. Heiser. He's an expert on ancient Near Eastern languages and has spent a large portion of his career researching the phenomena known as The Watchers.

Our conversation ranges from the origin and significance of these entities to Dr. Heiser's views on polytheism, divine plurality, and the idea that monotheism evolved over time. We also discuss the work of Zecharia Sitchin as it relates to the ancient astronaut hypothesis. You won't want to miss this episode!
