How do you establish the standards that will set you up for success? Having certain standards that you live your life by or conduct your day-to-day activity, is who you are. Never lower your standards to fit in with the crowd. If your standard is too high for the environment you are in, it's time for a change.

How you treat others and how you carry yourself is your etiquette. Being professional and conducting yourself accordingly, goes a long way. No one wants to associate themselves with someone that acts unprofessionally, talks unprofessionally, and associates themselves with an unprofessional lifestyle. As coaches, we have to have a certain decorum about us. We have to lead by example in those pressure-packed situations, so our pupils can see how to handle uncomfortable scenarios the best way.

Understanding your comfort zone so you can thrive is a huge piece to our success. Knowing our limits and how to push past those...allows us to expand our comfort zone, so we can grow as athletes. Once in a while, we are thrown out of our comfort zone. Thank sink or swim feeling we get is the breaking point. We must then confront that feeling and expand our comfort zone to establish a new one.
