Fear is massive force of nature that is really wonderfully, disruptive. It can make you rise above staying where you are. I realized every choice I had ever made had been based on some level of fear.  Until we are able to face them, they drive us.

I realize my travel notes have been sobering and difficult at times this week. Most travel stories are external. Pretty photos, amazing realizations, and only showing the nice stuff. These writings were about my internal journey and looked at culturally accepted norms of consumption, addiction, screentime, time, and money and my relationship to them.

It was simply something I had look at deeply and question before I felt I could move forward. I wanted to face things I was seeing and experiencing in the world with open eyes. I wanted to break down and break apart those old heavy ideas and see if I could move on feeling lighter and more in balance.

Going forward I’ll be posting about how I have been finding new ways of living and healing that stemmed from the questions I asked on the internal journey I’ve shared with you here.
