The story of David Kool comes full circle as this past April he was hired to be the new athletic director at South Christian High School where he starred in basketball and became the school's second Mr. Basketball back in 2006, helping lead the Sailors to 2x - Class B State Championships in his career! From there he took his talents to Western Michigan University, becoming the school's all-time leading scorer before he left with over 2,000 career points and was named the MAC Player of the Year his senior year!! After a few seasons as an assistant to head coach Steve Hawkins at WMU, David decided to comeback to the high school game as a head coach at both Jenison and Holland Christian before now taking the athletic director job back at his alma mater.
