Sometimes, you're watching a movie, and out of nowhere, you get this spiritual application. I was watching this show with a gladiator defying his evil leader, who wants to use his fighting skills to increase his power, but the gladiator says, "I will never be your instrument."

It was like a light bulb moment about resisting evil, just like in James 4:7 where it says, "resist the devil and he will flee from you."

But here's the thing: God's playbook says, first submit to Him, then resist. That's how you fight God’s way, which is pretty much the exact opposite of how the world tells you to fight. It’s not just about muscle, it’s about where you’re drawing your strength from.
